Catalan flag, below the serrated peaks of Montserrat

With overall unemployement around 27% and under 25 unemployment at over 50%, it is not too surprising to see an emergence of political graffiti spray painted across walls in Spain.

This is a selection we came across while driving through various provincial towns in Catalonia.

    They’re going through hell their economic power being crippled with heavy taxes by Madrid. Well let’s hope they gain freedom one day like Scotland is hoping to in 2014.
