Yukky chocolate cake

Yup, I think it’s about time I wrote something about food, just while I am waiting to get my Burma photos in order to download/ upload, whatever…
This is a cake my French niece recommended so I tried making it and I don’t know if I did something wrong, but even though it consisted of two appetizing ingredients, chocolate and banana, it went wrong somewhere along the way. Or perhaps I went wrong somewhere along the way. The finished result looks delectable enough but the flavour was somehow lacking in that expected gorgeous chocolate moussy fudgy luscious flavour.

Only problem is I realize I have lost the recipe. Could any experts out there tell me what I might have put into this cake just by looking at the photo?

Personally I have always favoured savoury things and this is more the kind of dish that gets my vote, even though/ especially because it is healthy:

fennel and orange salad with parmezan

As the name suggests, you take some fennel and slice it, thinner than I did preferably (I didn’t have a mandoline slicer), slice some orange and do the same with parmezan cheese. Add a bit of virgin olive oil and a squeeze of lemon, freshly ground salt and pepper and voila! Goes very well with fish, and with steak mind you…
Another lovely salad, by the Minimalist from NYT is celery and fennel.

Okay, I think I am getting into the mood for giving my chicken tagine recipe. Coming soon… 🙂
